Dr Carla Recker is one of the experts working on Continental’s Taraxagum rubber project, which aims to transform dandelions into a viable new source of natural rubber.
Although the project is not yet complete, Dr Recker’s vision for the future of the material is clear: “We will have a factory where dandelion rubber is produced that we can use for our tires.”
