Datalogic will demonstrate its new STS400 automated tire sorting solution at Tire Technology Expo 2016 in Hanover, Germany, this month. The new sorting solution is based on the company’s image-based ID reader, the Matrix 410.
The system is extremely simple as it is fully pre-assembled and calibrated, so no height barriers and no encoder are required.
The self-contained mechanical layout of the STS400 makes integration into constrained spaces quick and easy. In less than one hour, with no special tools or training, the STS400 can be transported from the shipping carton to reading tires in the production line. Maximum read rate is always guaranteed using Datalogic’s automation factory validation system. For ease of maintenance, a flashing green light indicates a good reading at the single device level, providing immediate feedback of the reading status without any additional software tools.
Datalogic will be exhibiting at booth 6006 at Tire Technology Expo 2016 in Hannover, Germany, on February 16-18.
