Bluestar Silicones has taken the opportunity to launch its Lyndcoat BR1211, BR1214 and BR1215 single release inside paints, which have been developed to help tire makers achieve the lowest ever defect rates in tire production.
Through improved slip performance and high air bleed and rub-off resistance, these coatings greatly reduce buckled and pinched bladder defects and favor the curing of perfectly symmetrical tires.
When using Lyndcoat BR1214 or BR1215 it is possible to obtain at least a 15% increase in bladder life compared with conventional inside paints. This ensures reduced bladder costs and press downtime, thereby increasing productivity.
Bluestar Silicones has also achieved a reduction in coat weight. Passenger car tires are usually coated with 8-24g (wet weight) of conventional release agents applied in an air spray cabin. With Bluestar Silicones’ reactive single releases, this weight can be reduced down to 4-10g.
Visitors can find more information on the Lyndcoat release agents at booth C610 at Tire Technology Expo.
