In the spotlight at the Bartell Machinery Systems stand is the company’s new Automatic Truck Apex System, which brings automation to the tire bead/apex process for beads that range in diameter from 17.5-24.5in.
The new apex system combines the apex profile extrusion process, the apex profile delivery system and the automatic apex application station in one fully integrated system. The automated product handling system transfers a tire bead into the apex application station and then unloads the finished bead/apex component to a rotating storage carousel. This system can be combined with a Bartell Bead Winding System to complete the unique manufacturing cell.
Bartell’s new Automatic Truck Apex System is designed to accommodate either single or dual compound apex profiles. The system uses an RMS 120/90mm dual extrusion process. This new automated product offering enables quality improvement and reduced operating costs.
