Mitas and agricultural equipment company Rostselmash have launched an initiative aimed at improving awareness of the unique ecosystem of Lake Baikal in Russia.
As part of this, the two companies had a photo and video session at the Lake Baikal, in collaboration with National Geographic Magazine.
The 5.5-meter wide Rostselmash tractor, weighing 11,690kg and equipped with Mitas AC85 tires in size 520/85 R42, successfully tackled the ice, which was around one meter thick, in temperatures as low as -25°C.
Jozef Rúček, MD, Mitas Russia, said, “Through this project we want to highlight that Mitas tires can work reliably and efficiently in all conditions. At Lake Baikal our tires were pushed to the extreme and proved that in such demanding conditions, farmers can rely on their performance.”
