The new V-Steel Snow Wedge All-Season (VSWAS) radial tire from Bridgestone Commercial is designed for grader machines used for snow removal and surface leveling. Bridgestone’s VSWAS is said to provide high levels of traction in winter conditions, and features design innovations that reduce stone holding on gravel surfaces, facilitating year-round use.
The tire features deep siping and tie bars within the sipes, which controls movement of the tread blocks for long, even wear while combating the retention and throwing of damaging stones. A unique tread design features wide grooves and angled lugs to help reduce retention and throwing of damaging stones while contributing to a comfortable ride. Patent-pending grooves in the lug walls enhance snow traction by shearing multiple layers of snow beyond the top layer.
