Bridgestone Europe has appointed Andreas Niegsch as MD for the central region covering Germany, Austria and Switzerland. After 28 years of Bridgestone service, former MD Gerry Duffy will be transferring to Hong Kong to take on a new challenge as CEO of Bridgestone Aircraft Tire Company (Asia).
Niegsch joins the Bridgestone Group bringing 24 years of international management experience in the tire and automotive industry, having worked for Michelin in Germany, Robert Bosch, and Goodyear Dunlop.
Niegsch has experience growing Goodyear Dunlop’s business internationally, having held positions including: managing director of Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK; director of marketing and sales, Goodyear Dunlop Tires Europe’s EEMA region; managing director of Goodyear Lastikleri T.A.Ş. in Turkey; Africa region special project diretor, Goodyear & Dunlop Tyres; and managing director and president of the management board at Sava Tires, part of Goodyear Dunlop Tires Europe.
