Trucks competing in the Tata T1 Prima Truck Racing championship this weekend at the Buddh International Circuit in Uttar Pradesh, India, were once again equipped with JK Tyre’s Jetracing rubber. Drivers reportedly swore by the ‘reliable’ and ‘grippy’ tires.
Vikram Malhotra, marketing director at JK Tyre and Industries, said, “As a pioneer of motorsport in India, JK Tyre is proud to partner with T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship for the third time.
“From the very first year of the Championship, we have seen great passion for it in India and T1 has proved to be a great platform to showcase the competence of the Indian commercial vehicles industry. We at JK Tyre hope that its popularity continues to grow and we get to see much more action in the years to come.”
The tire is made with a special low heat, high traction compound. It is designed to handle speeds of more than 160km/h with extra reinforced steel belts and a dual layer tread compound. The trucks were equipped with tires in size 315/70 R22.5.
