Peter R Rapin (pictured) is to join Goodyear as VP and treasurer. He will report to Laura K Thompson, executive VP and CFO. Rapin most recently served as VP, treasury and tax for TRW Automotive, where he directed the global treasury, tax, insurance and pension functions.
Thompson commented, “We are pleased to welcome Peter to the Goodyear team. He is an accomplished finance executive with extensive treasury experience, an in-depth knowledge of the automotive industry, and a proven leadership track record in corporate finance.”
Meanwhile, Chris Delaney has been named president-elect of Goodyear’s Asia Pacific business unit. Daniel L Smytka, president of the company’s Asia Pacific business since 2011, will work closely with Delaney on the transition before moving to another leadership role reporting to Goodyear chairman and CEO Richard J Kramer.
Said Kramer, “Chris is a proven leader who has spent extensive time in the Asia Pacific region during his career and joins us at a critical time as we drive for growth amid challenging economic conditions in the region.”
