The latest IL5 5MP camera from Fastec Imaging enables users to record high-speed events in vehicle and tire testing and troubleshooting using slow motion replay.
With 1,000fps at 1,280 x 1,014 or 2,750fps at 768 x 576 (faster frame rates can be obtained at smaller resolutions) and a base model starting below US$9,000, the Fastec IL5 offers extremely high performance at an affordable price.
Built for flexibility and ease of use, the Fastec IL5 camera can be controlled over gigabit Ethernet via Fastec FasMotion software on a PC/Mac or via the built-in web interface on a smartphone.
Through the FasCorder Mode, the camera can be operated as a regular camcorder. Users can record and pause as needed, and then append additional footage at will, even after a power cycle. Unlike traditional high-speed camera systems that only record for a few seconds and require careful triggering, the IL5’s long-record option can record at high speed for many minutes at high resolutions, to many hours at reduced resolutions.
Images can be saved to an SSD or SD card while recording high-speed bursts of hundreds or even thousands of images at a time.
