At this year’s Tire Technology Expo, which takes place on February 20-22, Comerio Ercole will debut its integrated mini calender solution for fabric and steel cord rubberizing. MiniDuplex is based on a four-roll calender composed of different patented modules, developed to meet customer needs and tailored according to the laboratory and/or production range.
Meeting the latest requirements of a smart factory and in line with Industry 4.0, the mini calender line is said to offer numerous advantages. It provides a high level of flexibility to produce different materials in the same plant; enables experimentation with new technologies and new materials; enables cost saving on processes and scrap reduction; and with its small footprint, enables a reduction in the layout configuration.
Systems can be developed to incorporate an integrated manufacturing execution system solution, linked to the remote server via the web.
MiniDuplex is supplied fully wired and pre-tested, and can therefore be installed in any factory quickly and efficiently.
