GRI is set to release a new radial tire named the Grip XLR MP55 for heavy-duty backhoe loaders, compact loaders and telehandler applications.
A new inter-lug design that consists of three steps in the lug at the center line helps to prevent cracking when a vehicle carries heavy loads, and also provides greater traction. Tire manufacturer GRI says that the extra wide lugs help to provide better grip and stability, while a new tread compound enables the tire to better withstand cuts and general wear. A new tire bar design also features, which is said to extend working hours and the tire’s life in general, meaning less downtime for vehicles working in demanding conditions.
CEO of GRI Mahesha Ranasoma said, “We recognize that construction machinery is getting more powerful, [and] as builders strive for more productivity to build effectively for future generations, the Grip XLR MP55 will provide utmost dependability in performance.”
Currently the tire is available in size 19.5L R24 with more sizes for other applications to be released in the near future.
