Kobe Steel has launched its new tire uniformity testing machine, the Librota-GS, which is claimed to have the fastest cycle time of any machine worldwide and the highest repeatable measurement accuracy.
The Librota-GS has a cycle time of just 18 seconds compared with its predecessor, which took 20 seconds. This has been achieved thanks to the incorporation of a newly developed control system and optimized measurement conditions. This enables tire makers to achieve a 10% increase in productivity compared with conventional tire uniformity machines.
In addition, options such as a sheet-of-light laser geometry system and a shoulder grinder can be installed.
