At Tire Technology Expo 2017, which took place on February 14-16, RJS Corporation launched its state-of-the-art new real-time creel room system, which enables control of the creel room remotely via an app that can be downloaded on any iOS or Android device.
The system offers a number of benefits, as CEO Lynn Zarcone, explained, “When the creel room is in operation, if one of those tension controllers loses tension or a wire falls off or breaks, you want to get it fixed right away. With this system you can look at the individual tension on each one of the creels or you can look at a row, for example. The data is presented on the screen, which also means that you can spot patterns, for example say if you’ve found that every couple of weeks there’s something wrong in one particular area.”
The updated system also now monitors temperature and humidity as well as air pressure, which is extremely important in the creel room. It can be installed with new and existing creel room systems.
