Sumitomo Rubber AKO Lastik Sanayi ve Ticaret, a Turkey-based tire manufacturing and sales subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber Industries, has been awarded ISO 50001:2018 certification for its energy management system.
The Sumitomo Rubber Industries’ facility in Çankırı Province is the company’s third factory to obtain ISO 50001 certification, with previously certified factories in China and Brazil.
The ISO 50001 international standard was released in 2011 and covers energy management systems that seek to achieve continuous improvement in the energy performance of organizations by taking a systematic approach to energy management.
