Bridgestone EMEA has achieved a platinum rating from EcoVadis. This is the fourth consecutive year that the organization has earned platinum status, which positions it in the top 1% of approximately 130,000 companies assessed by EcoVadis on a global scale.
EcoVadis scores organizations within four core domains: environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Scores are based on the quality of a brand’s sustainability systems and its commitment to promoting transparency throughout the value chain. Bridgestone scored 100% in the environment area.
“This platinum rating is a great achievement, but it doesn’t signify that our work is complete,” said Laurent Dartoux, chair of the Bridgestone EMEA management board and group president. “The EcoVadis assessment is an opportunity to highlight Bridgestone’s sustainability progress and achievements, but it is also a guide that continues to illuminate the areas we still need to improve.”
Bridgestone said the platinum achievement in 2024 coincides with other recent sustainability highlights for the company, such as the agreement with Grupo BB&G and Versalis to establish a closed-loop system.
Bridgestone EMEA first attained platinum EcoVadis status in 2021, with a silver in 2015 and gold in 2019.
