UKi Media & Events, the organiser of Tire Technology Expo (and publisher of Tire Technology International) has announced new dates for this year’s show in Hannover.
The 2022 edition of Tire Technology Expo will now take place on May 18, 19, 20 (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) at the Deutsche Messe, Hannover, Germany.
“Due to the current rapid escalation of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 throughout Europe, Tire Technology Expo is being postponed by six weeks and will now be held on May 18, 19, 20, 2022 in Hannover at the Deutche Messe exhibition centre in Halls 19/20/21, as in former years and in accordance with the original plans for 2022,” explained Tony Robinson, CEO and show founder, UKi Media & Events.
“We are making the change in order to ensure a safe, comfortable, confident and productive event for all in 2022. Our aim is to enable delegates, speakers and all participants, including exhibitors, to enjoy the show in the early summer when many of the complications associated with Covid-19 are less impactful. Based on everything we have seen in the last two years, a lower risk of Covid-19 transmission in the warmer months is the most significant benefit of the six-week postponement, along with easier travel and hopefully no requirement for mask wearing or other restrictions,” he continued.
“While all changes to schedules are annoying, this decision is being made to create the best overall experience for our global community. As always, along with the entire team behind this world-class show, I remain totally committed to ensuring its success and benefits for all as Europe’s once-a-year, all-embracing tire design and tire manufacturing showcase.”
