Bekaert launches Mega Tensile – its lightest and strongest reinforcement yet
Bekaert launched its latest tire reinforcement innovation at the expo today. Mega Tensile – part of the Elyta range – offers tailored solutions for passenger car and light truck reinforcement. At Rockwell Automation’s booth, visitors are exploring a variety of advanced solutions designed to optimize tire manufacturing. Specialists are demonstrating how MES technology enhances modern production, and Kalypso’s AI-driven tools help reduce downtime. Endurica presents its elastomer durability simulation tools
Endurica is presenting its newest elastomer durability simulation tools live at the show. The company is highlighting upcoming 2025 updates, including an improved aging module for oxidation effects and enhanced wear simulation for more accurate durability predictions. Conference highlights
The comprehensive three-day conference got underway this morning with the plenary opening session on the New York 1 stage. There was an impressive roster of speakers, with Continental, Michelin and ETRMA all providing valuable insights.
Jorge Almeida and Burkhard Wies presented Continental Tires’ comprehensive sustainability strategy, with a special focus on the footprint of tires during their use phase. Claire Fioretti then delivered a fascinating presentation on the tire digital product passport, explaining why Michelin and its partners are convinced that the digitalization of tires is the key to improving the circular economy. Adam McCarthy from ETRMA closed the session with an analysis of the evolution of EU regulations during the last European Commission mandate and outlined regulatory changes still to come.

At 13:35, Riccardo Giovannotti from GDSO will get the Tire-related data – ideas and initiatives conference session underway on the Five Continents stage, with his presentation on cradle to grave use cases supported by data sharing. He will be followed by Kanwar Bharat Singh from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, talking about road perception technology for ADAS and autonomous vehicle applications.
Stephan Rau from WDK will kick off this afternoon’s Sustainability and the circular economy in the tire industry session at 13:35 on the New York 1 stage, with an in-depth exploration of tire recycling. At 14:00 on the Casablanca stage, Continental and Kordsa will open the Reinforcement – innovations and initiatives in development, test, production and sustainability session, co-presenting on their joint project, Cokoon – an open-source, resorcinol-formaldehyde-free bonding system for textile reinforcements.
The networking drinks party will start at around 16:30 in Hall 19 (opposite the awards stage), with the Tire Technology International Awards for Innovation and Excellence presented live on the awards stage at 17:15! Come along to discover who has triumphed this year.
