ZC Rubber has opened a European branch in Germany to expand its original equipment portfolio and improve its market share in the region.
It has also appointed Ákos Barcsik as regional field engineer, who will be responsible for expanding the Chinese OEM’s portfolio in Europe and establishing new OE contracts, as well as feeding back information on local market requirements for R&D.
A company spokesperson said, “Rounding out our existing presence in the tire market, we will devote ourselves to improving service capability, especially in terms of OE cooperation.”
Westlake and Goodride are the main ZC Rubber brands in Europe. The company is reportedly preparing to launch more new products to meet market demands and differentiate itself from other Chinese competitors.
At the new ZC Europe office, Barcsik will focus on development of the company’s engineering activities for all types of tires. Monitoring and analyzing tire market changes, Barcsik will look at the latest market demands and share feedback with the R&D center to improve future tires.
Prior to joining the company, Barcsik served as head field engineer for nine years at Bridgestone East Europe.
