TRM has devised a new application for its Black Swan cushion gum extruder with strip winding technology. The discovery is the result of a collaboration with a producer of auxiliary materials for the tire industry. The combination of the Black Swan machine and TRM’s proprietary Twin technology represents a breakthrough in the manufacturing process, enabling activities to be split on different stations with a high level of efficiency.
Thanks to its flexibility and ability to apply the material in high-quality with a constant thickness, the Black Swan was able to be used as the core process in a machine for the manufacturing of technical products specially designed for high-performance tires.
The automatic cycle can be performed at the same time on two drums, enabling the customer to reduce manpower by 50%.
