After a two-year construction period, Evonik’s 3,500m² silanes competence center, located at the company’s Rheinfelden site in Germany, was officially opened on July 14. Approximately 100 experts are based at the new facility, which houses state-of-the-art equipment and laboratories across four floors.
As well as R&D, the new competence center will also be home to the applied technology, analytics and quality management departments. “We have created optimum working conditions with short distances between workplaces, which favors collaboration and encourages employees to share ideas and experiences. This will enable us to create customized solutions for our customers even faster and more efficiently,” said Johannes Ohmer, member of the board of management Evonik Resource Efficiency.
