Nokian Tyres has named Jukka Moisio as its president and CEO, taking over from Hille Korhonen.
Moisio joins from global packaging company Huhtamaki, where he served as president and CEO. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of fiber company Ahlstrom.
Thanking Korhonen for his three years as president and CEO, Jukka Hienonen, chairman of the board of directors, said, “These past years have been characterized by an intensive investment phase, during which the company has built a factory in the USA, as part of the target to double Nokian Tyres sales in North America.”
Commenting on his new role, Moisio said, “I am honored to be appointed to lead Nokian Tyres, which is such a great company with fantastic products, a valued brand and leading position in its home markets, and a lot of opportunities for development.”
