BKT has announced that its product manager, Denis Piccolo, has been appointed as chairman of ETRTO’s (European Tyre and Rim Technical Organisation) agriculture subcommittee.
ETRTO’s members are manufacturers of rims, tires and valves for all types of vehicles, and the organization aims to align sizes and dimensions of tires. Another key role of the group is to establish common sizes alongside load and pressure characteristics. A single set of operational guidelines will also be produced to aid end users in choosing the right product to suit their needs.
Piccolo has represented BKT at ETRTO for some time, and this appointment recognizes his commitment to tire-related topics, regulation and safety. He commented, “I am proud of being appointed. I will fulfill my duty with the utmost commitment.”
As part of his role, Piccolo will be tasked with consolidating ETRTO’s position and official feedback on requests regarding agricultural tires. Furthermore, he will be responsible for data to be published in the Technical Manual (Standard Manual) and the Engineering Design Information, both of which contain ETRTO’s official indications on the agricultural sector.
