A new partnership formed between Vittoria and the Federazione Ciclistica Italiana (FCI) will see Vittoria becoming the technical sponsor and official tire supplier of the Federation, having supported its athletes at a multitude of previous competitive events.
As a partner to the FCI, Vittoria will provide the Italian national team’s cyclists and staff with its tires – including the Vittoria Pista for track applications – and other accessories.
In addition to supplying tires to entrants, Vittoria will also grant the Italian team members access to its innovation, research and development facility, Vittoria Park. Here, the tire manufacturer has created a set of on- and- off-road trails and facilities which FCI cyclists can use for training during the off-season.
Furthermore, through the launch of the Vittoria Re-Cycling project which aims to make the sport more sustainable, Vittoria – in collaboration with esosport – will recycle tires and tubes used during competition, ensuring they are reused within pavements, playgrounds and sports tracks.
“I am sure that our trust in Vittoria [will be] repaid,” commented Cordiano Dagnoni, president, FCI. “In recent years, we have had the opportunity to appreciate the products of this company, the result of innovation and passion – the same values that drive all of us in the Federation.”
“We are very pleased to continue our long-term support of the Italian Cycling Federation by supplying the world’s best bicycle tires, through the innovative Vittoria Park and the Servizio Corse,” added Stijn Vriends, CEO and chairman, Vittoria. “We are honored to help bring the fantastic athletes and Italian excellence to the races around the world.”
