China National Chemical Equipment (CNCE) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (Fraunhofer IPA) have entered a parternship that will see the two specialists collaborate in several areas. This will include the development of new chemical materials, intelligent manufacturing, automation and IT.
As one of the largest research institutions of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and an important participant in the Industrial 4.0 strategy in the German industry, IPA boasts state-of-the-art technologies in smart factory solutions, CPS physical information systems, Internet of Things and intelligent robotic applications. By relying on its abundant research findings and practical experience in intelligent manufacturing solutions, IPA will provide CNCE with support in upgrades of its manufacturing equipment.
The two companies are to carry out scientific research and technical innovation on the principles of mutual benefit, stabilization, persistence, high efficiency and high quality. Fraunhofer IPA plans to introduce more research institutions through the intranet of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and carry out more extensive cooperation with companies under ChemChina in the future.
