Having been a long-term supplier of original equipment to Hyundai Commercial Vehicle, tire manufacturer ZC Rubber has announced it will now be supplying long-haul truck models with new patterns and sizes for Hyundai long-haul truck models in China.
A pure electric light truck called the Hyundai Hongtu now features ZC Rubber’s high-performance tires that have been optimized to deliver efficiency and ecological and economic advantages. The tires feature a newly designed tread pattern and compound to improve safety, mileage and environmental credentials.
The tire maker will also be the OE supplier for Hyundai’s Xcient premium truck, which it will equip with tires that, according to a test, are expected to save 30,000 liters of fuel over a distance of 300,000km, resulting in a reduction of carbon emissions. This version of the tire benefits from a lower rolling resistance, and will be released in the near future.
“The expansion of our OE business cooperation with Hyundai is of great strategic importance to us, as we can now offer a wide range of patterns and sizes to its multiple models in a variety of applications,” commented a ZC Rubber spokesperson. “It is yet another critical proof point of our strong brand, investment in R&D, and leading technology in the commercial vehicle segment.”
