Since November 2021 Yokohama has been supplying Toyota with its BluEarth-XT AE61 and BluEarth-XT AE61 Z・P・S tires for use as the original equipment on the company’s first PHEV, the Lexus NX.
Yokohama’s BluEarth-XT AE61 utilizes the basic design and material technologies of the company’s BluEarth brand tires and has been designed as a grand touring tire to provide a balance of comfort, driving and environmental performance. Additionally, a newly developed tread pattern improves wet performance, wear resistance and stability.
Furthermore, the BluEarth-XT AE61 Z・P・S is a run-flat tire which provides drivers with a softer ride than products which conform to previous extended mobility tire (EMT) standards, a standard set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) which also applies to run-flat tires. A reduced weight also improves vehicle fuel efficiency.
The vehicle is being supplied with tires in a size 235/60R18 103H.
