Yokohama’s Avid GT passenger car tire has been selected as original equipment for Toyota Motor Corporation’s new Rav4 crossover SUV. The vehicle was first launched in North America in 2018 and has since been introduced in Japan, South Korea, Europe and other markets. It is equipped with Avid GTs in size 235/55 R19 with a speed rating of 101V.
The tire incorporates Yokohama’s special design technologies and principles from its BluEarth tire brand. Developed to ensure a safe ride in a sudden snowfall, the Avid GT bears the M+S (mud + snow) marking on its sidewall. In addition, thanks to its low rolling resistance, the tire is said to improve the SUV’s fuel efficiency, while also providing good driveability.
