Yokohama Rubber has announced it is supplying its Geolandar X-CV and Geolandar A/T G31 tires as original equipment (OE) for the new Toyota Motor Corporation 250 series Land Cruiser, which was launched in Japan this month.
The Geolandar X-CV focuses on high-speed performance and maneuverability for highway terrain, while the Geolandar A/T G31 prioritizes fuel efficiency and environmental performance for off-road driving. Both tires are designed to deliver high steering stability, reduced rolling resistance and exterior noise, Yokohama says, catering to the diverse applications of the new Land Cruiser.
Developed using Yokohama Rubber’s proprietary AI-based development framework HAICoLab (“Humans and AI ColLaborate”), the tires incorporate technologies derived from a blend of human creativity and AI data processing. The HAICoLab framework integrates real and virtual data, leveraging AI’s predictive, analytical and search capabilities.
As part of its medium-term management plan, Yokohama Transformation 2026 (YX2026), Yokohama Rubber plans to promote its flagship Advan and Geolandar brand tires for SUVs and pickups for OE fitment.
