Yokohama’s Geolandar X-CV tires will be offered as original equipment (OE) for the new Nissan Patrol, which was launched in the Middle East in November 2024. Yokohama will supply 275/60R20 115H size tires.
The Geolandar X-CV tires focus on high-speed performance and maneuverability. The tires have a special structure and tread pattern that are said to deliver driving stability and reduced weight, with improved snow performance and a reduction in road noise.
The seventh-generation Patrol features a refined design with a 425hp V6 twin-turbo engine, 9-speed automatic transmission and adaptive air suspension. The auto maker states that the SUV offers reliability and “superior off-road performance”.
According to Yokohama Rubber’s three-year (2024–2026) medium-term management plan, Yokohama Transformation 2026 (YX2026), the consumer tire business aims to maximize the sales ratios of high-value-added tires. As a part of this, the Japanese tire brand will promote the global flagship Advan tires and the Geolandar tires for SUVs and pickup trucks as original equipment for new cars.
