Tire manufacturer Linglong Tire has announced an OE fitment milestone following the successful fitting of Linglong tires to the Honda Crider at the Guangqi Honda plant in China.
Having been involved in the Crider project since December 2018, Linglong Tire carried out a rigorous development program to ensure the supplied products would meet Honda’s strict production process control requirements and quality control standards.
On July 9, 2021, Guangqi Honda sent a team of experts to conduct a review of the Declaration of Quality and Safety Mass Production. The tire subsequently passed Honda’s on-site review and evaluation in terms of its production, technology and quality.
Through close collaboration with Honda during the R&D phase, Linglong optimized the tire and provided a product that provided low rolling resistance and reduced noise levels. Furthermore, the tire was designed to work in conjunction with the vehicle’s suspension system for a more comfortable driving experience.
The first batch of tires was shipped to the Guangqi Honda plant in September 2021 from Linglong’s facility in Liuzhou city, Guangxi Province.
