SEAT has chosen Kumho’s Ecowing ES31 in 185/65 R15 88H as its standard tire for the Ibiza.
The ES31 was designed for the European market and features low rolling resistance technology specifically designed to minimize carbon dioxide emissions and energy loss. Its tread pattern and compound offer balanced driving performance for wet grip, mileage and noise.
The tires will be manufactured at Kumho’s Gokseong facility in South Korea.
Kim In-soo, senior vice president at Kumho Tire, said, “We will continue building on our proprietary technologies with the aim of creating a new chapter in the field of environmentally friendly tires.”
Kumho has been providing Volkswagen Group with tires since 2006 and the latest VW Polo is already using the ES31.
