The all-new 2020 Ford Explorer will be factory fitted with Hankook’s grand touring all-season Kinergy GT tire in size 255/65 R18. As America’s best-selling SUV, the Explorer has undergone a complete redesign inside and out.
Key elements of the tire’s tread include its four-channel design, which has been combined with an optimized lateral groove and chamfer sipe arrangement – design features that are said to provide exceptional grip in both wet and snowy driving conditions.
Beneath the tread lies the core of the Kinergy tire’s structure – high-grip silica compounds. A multi-layered carcass, composed of equilibrium carcass lines, along with jointless and supplemental reinforcement belts, all contribute to smooth and comfortable ride both on- and off-road.
