Giti Tire has been contracted to supply its GitiSynergyE1 tire for the VW T-Cross in size 205/60 R16 92H.
The SUV is engineered for the European market on the MQB-A0 small car platform in Pamplona, Spain, alongside the SEAT Arona compact crossover and VW Polo, for which the tire manufacturer already supplies original equipment tires in the same pattern.
Key attributes of the GitiSynergyE1 include a high-performance eco-tread compound and a special contour design for low rolling resistance – as confirmed by its B rating on the EU tire label – as well as enhanced driving and braking characteristics on both wet and dry roads.
Experts at Giti Tire’s European Research & Development Centre in Hannover developed the tire, and tested it at the company’s MIRA facility in the UK, as well as in Germany and Spain.
