In a week where electric trucks hit the headlines, with Rivian, Nikola and Lordstown all providing updates on their respective projects, it has also been announced that the latter will sport Goodyear tires as part of a collaboration between the two companies on tires and tire intelligence developments.
The strategic partnership will see Goodyear supply tires to all Lordstown trucks, while also integrating the vehicles into its own servicing fleets.
Operating out of the former General Motors plant near Youngstown, Ohio, Lordstown has retooled the facility to begin producing its first vehicles at the end of this year. The company said it has received advance orders for fleet purchases of the Endurance and plans to build 20,000 of the pickups during its first year of production.
