Continental has announced that all Land Rover Defender models – including the OEM’s plug-in hybrid – will now be equipped ex-works with its 19in and 22in CrossContact RX crossover tires.
Specifically developed for SUVs and crossover vehicles, the tire range benefits from a sporty performance profile that is also capable off road. The CrossContact RX features good handling and traction attributes to enable shorter braking distances on wet roads for additional safety.
A uniform sipe arrangement reduces road noise and a reinforced sidewall delivers a direct steering response. Furthermore, the tread pattern design helps protect the tire from damage caused by stone chips when driving on rough surfaces.
The CrossContact RX will be available on the Land Rover Defender in sizes 255/65 R19 FR 114V XL, 275/45 R22 FR 112W XL and HL275/45 R22 FR 115W XL.
