The ID. Buzz from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will be supplied and fitted with 19in and 20in EcoContact 6Q summer tires from Continental.
The EcoContact 6Q benefits from high energy efficiency, long service life and excellent braking and handling performance. Its tread profile is highly adaptable and changes depending on road surface to ensure customers benefit from a longer tire service life.
Furthermore, a specially developed rubber compound helps minimize friction when in contact with the road surface to ensure less energy is dissipated and rolling resistance is reduced. Modified blocks, sipes and lateral grooves on the EcoContact 6Q help reduce noise levels within the cabin.
Continental’s tires for the ID. Buzz feature ContiSeal technology, a highly elastic protective layer on the inside of the tire that envelops objects that penetrate the tread, sealing the puncture and preventing air loss. The technology will still seal punctures even when the object has been removed. Holes up to 5mm in diameter can be sealed, enabling approximately 80% of punctures to be fixed immediately.
As part of its tire replacement business, Continental will also offer additional summer, winter and all-season tires for the VW ID. Buzz, including the AllSeasonContact.
The tires will be supplied in sizes 235/55 R19 105T XL, 255/50 R19 107T XL, 235/50 R20 104T XL, 265/45 R20 108T XL.
