Apollo Alnac 4G tires have been selected as OE fitment for the next-generation Baleno from Maruti Suzuki. Apollo will supply the Indian domestic market with Alnac 4Gs in two sizes, 195/55 R16 and 185/65 R15.
Since it launched in 2013, the Alnac 4G has built up a customer base with OEMs and the replacement market. Apollo now says that the tire is the highest seller in India’s passenger vehicle segment. The tires have been customized to meet the low-rolling resistance, increased durability and enhanced riding comfort requirements for the new Baleno.
“Our focused approach toward upgrading our product technology to meet evolving customer requirements has helped us win several customers,” said Satish Sharma, president, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa for Apollo Tyres. “Alnac 4G, as a product brand, has multiple approvals from OEMs spanning premium hatchbacks, sedans and compact SUVs.”
Apollo Alnac 4G tires have been extensively tested at leading global test tracks such as Idiada, Spain, and ATP Papenburg, Germany.
