Tire manufacturer ZC Rubber will unveil three new Westlake Gen II truck tires — the WAM2, WSL2 and WDL2 — at the IAA Transportation 2024 event in Hanover, Germany.
Designed for the European market, the new tires have been designed to provide improvements in rolling resistance compared to earlier models and are certified with M+S (Mud and Snow) and 3PMS (Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake) ratings.
The Gen II tires use a low-heat-generating compound technology, known as the Ultra Hybrid Formula, which ZC says is designed to reduce rolling resistance, enhance energy efficiency and supports environmental sustainability.
The tires also feature Profile Stabilization Control Technology (PSCT) that aims to minimize tire profile deformation, leading to reduced uneven wear and improved durability. Belt-Wrap Technology (BWT) is also integrated, providing better crack resistance, extended tire life, and enhanced stability and safety, the company says.
Each tire is tailored for specific applications: the WAM2 is suited for mixed terrain and all axle positions, for both on-road and off-road use; the WSL2 is designed for long-haul steer axles, delivering improved wear resistance and increased mileage; and the WDL2 is intended for long-haul drive axles, featuring a wider tread and higher saturation.
ZC Rubber will present these new tires at the IAA Transportation event, scheduled to take place September 17-22, 2024.
