All-new Westlake and Goodride ultra-high performance passenger car tires for the European market have been launched by tire manufacturer ZC Rubber.
Named the Westlake ZuperAce Z-007 and the Goodride Solmax 1, both tires are TÜV SÜD certified and benefit from a reduced noise output and improved grip and handling performance through an all-around tire structure upgrade developed by ZC Rubber.
Featuring new company technologies, the tires have improved shoulder durability, wear resistance and performance at high speeds. Additionally, hybrid formula technologies optimize the distribution of nano-silica for improved grip and fuel efficiency while effective water evacuation ensures a high level of performance in the wet.
Designed as an ultra-high-performance (UHP) tire, the Westlake ZuperAce Z-007 is stated to outperform the previous generation of ZC Rubber UHP products in all respects.
Large continuous blocks and scaled grooves with beveled edges improve handling and grip, while the use of the hybrid formula has reduced the tire’s wet braking distance by 10%. Rolling resistance has been reduced by 5% due to a redesigned tire profile based on the company’s updated design theory.
The Goodride Solmax 1 tire is developed for dynamic driving performance. It features a variable-pitch noise-reduction block design, V-shape soundbolts inside the grooves and a staggered arrangement of inner and outer lateral grooves. The aggressive tread design ensures a larger contact patch is available when cornering for higher levels of grip and the hybrid formula also features for increased stability a speed.
“[The] Westlake and Goodride flagship tires [have been] developed to meet the ever evolving and more diverse consumer needs,” commented a ZC Rubber spokesperson. “They are the culmination of our R&D efforts in recent years. We are certain that they will become smart choices for European consumers in terms of quality, value and style.”
The tires will be available in June 2022 in a range of 17in to 22in diameters in various sizes to suit the European market. Following an initial roll-out, both products will be available throughout Europe and Southeast Asia from the second half of 2022.
