Yokohama Rubber is to launch a new street sports tire. The Advan Neova AD09 has been designed to be the strongest of the Advan street tire family and features several racing technologies developed through the company’s involvement with motorsport.
Yokohama’s Advan Neova AD09 benefits from enhanced dry grip and control and improved wear resistance for long-lasting performance when used on-track. Featuring a new structure and profile, the tire has been designed using a combination of materials that provide a high level of casing rigidity. To improve dry grip, the AD09 benefits from an optimized asymmetric tread pattern and newly developed compounds with balanced viscoelasticity.
Upon its release, the tire will be available in 20 sizes ranging from 275/30R20 97W XL to 165/55R15 75V. By the end of 2022, the tire manufacturer plans to expand the size line-up with the introduction of another 60 sizes including 21in.
Sales of the tire will begin in Japan in February 2022, before becoming available to the Asian and North American markets.
