Designed for fleets and operators working in snow and icy conditions, Yokohama’s new premium, extreme traction drive tire – the 907W – replaces the SY767 and carries the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol. The tire is available now in the USA in three sizes: 295/75R22.5, 11R22.5 and 11R24.5.
“The new 907W offers significantly longer tread life and better performance in the snow,” said Tom Clauer, Yokohama’s senior manager of commercial product planning. “With a deeper tread and rugged new compound, fleets can expect to get reliable snow traction and powerful snow braking for multiple winter seasons.”
The tire enjoys long tread life thanks to its 27/32in tread depth, which is designed to provide longer lasting snow performance and longer original tread life. The new compound resists scrubbing, cutting and chipping (improving service life and durability), and the combination blocks combat heel/toe wear to enhance traction.
Power ribs with 3D sipes are designed to provide powerful traction, ensuring firm ground contact and improved ice and snow performance. Additionally, the four zig-zag grooves offer efficient water evacuation while providing enhanced radial and lateral traction in extreme weather conditions. In addition, the 907W is backed by Yokohama’s seven-year unlimited retread casing warranty.
