Yokohama has launched a new model in its Avid all-season tire range. The Ascend GT, which is now on sale in the USA, is designed to provide better handling for passenger cars.
It is available with H and V speed ratings and comes in 50 sizes from 15in to 20in. It also comes with a two-year, 65,000-mile tread life warranty.
The tire features a new asymmetric tread design with a circumferential groove arrangement engineered to provide better stopping power and handling on wet roads. Hundreds of 3D sipes and a notched block design should ensure good snow performance.
A new compound Yokohama called TriBlend, in combination with an ultra-square contact patch, are employed for longer and more even wear.
