Both BMW and Yokohama have worked in close collaboration to develop 20in and 21in tires specifically for application to the OEM’s high-performance M3 and M4 vehicles.
The Advan Sport V107 tires now feature a specially developed compound and tread pattern with an adjusted groove area to deliver both wear resistance and high levels of dry weather performance.
Designed using Yokohama’s mound profile technology, the tires benefit from evenly distributed surface contact pressure, further enhancing performance and resistance attributes. A specialized carcass material has also been utilized by the tire manufacturer to ensure the powerful vehicles have excellent steering stability.
Supplied to the German vehicle manufacturer in a size 285/30ZR20 (99Y) for the front axle and a 295/25ZR21 (96Y) for the rear, the new tires differ from the 18in and 19in Yokohama products fitted to the OEM’s vehicles since November 2020.
The tires will be delivered to the BMW Group plants in Munich and Dingolfing.
