Apollo Tyres has launched the Vredestein Quatrac Classic, a premium all-season classic car tire that combines timeless looks with modern construction.
The low-weight, low-noise tire has been developed by the company’s global R&D team in the Netherlands. It features a directional tread pattern with evacuation slots to resist aquaplaning. The advanced, full-silica tread compound promises to deliver good road-holding in all conditions, including ice and snow – certified by the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake mark embossed on the sidewall.
Available from Q2 2025, the new tire will initially be available in the two sizes most often found on ‘winter-season’ classic cars used year-round. These are 185/70 R15 89 V, popular for the Triumph TR4/5, Volkswagen Beetle, pre-1990 Porsche 911 and Volvo Amazon, and the narrower 125 R15 68 S, ideal for Citroën models including the Méhari, Dyane and 2CV.
Apollo Tyres has continued to expand the Quatrac portfolio to cater to an ever more diverse range of vehicles, including high-performance cars, SUVs and electric vehicles. The Quatrac Classic builds on this, combining the company’s cutting-edge technology with a deep understanding of classic car heritage. It joins the Vredestein Classic tire family, which includes the Grip Classic, Snow Classic, Sprint Classic, Sprint+ and Transport Classic.
Yves Pouliquen, vice president of commercial, Europe at Apollo Tyres, said “With the Vredestein Quatrac Classic, we are enabling classic car owners to experience the joy of their vehicles year-round, without compromising on safety or performance. This tire is a testament to our ability to bring together modern engineering and timeless design, and is the perfect addition to our growing classic car tire line-up.”
