Toyo Tire USA has recently launched the Toyo Proxes Sport A/S+, an ultra-high-performance all-season tire designed for sports cars, CUVs and SUVs. This new tire aims to enhance wet traction while maintaining the dry performance of its predecessor, the Proxes Sport A/S.
It features an improved tread compound that aims to deliver a better performance in wet conditions, as well as reduce rolling resistance for better fuel efficiency and extend tread life. Additionally, a high load capacity option will be available for certain sizes to accommodate heavier vehicles such as electric vehicles, hybrids and large SUVs.
The Proxes Sport A/S+ incorporates new features, including an asymmetric tread design with a high-stiffness outer rib for better cornering, higher sipe density inner ribs for improved braking and competitive light snow traction. The tire’s construction includes a stiff sidewall, high tensile steel belts and high hardness bead filler. The taper design contributes to traction and handling, while multiwave sipes help minimize irregular wear for a quieter ride.
Available in 80 sizes with wheel diameters ranging from 17 to 22in, the initial sizes will be available starting in July.
