Coming to the domestic market from January 2024, Toyo Tires has announced it will release the fuel-efficient comfort tire Proxes CF3. All 46 sizes will be released, with an open price.
Efforts to enhance fuel efficiency and promote environmentally friendly measures in response to emissions reduction goals are advancing in the automotive industry, particularly with the growing prevalence of EVs and hybrids. The recently introduced CF3 is designed to excel in both low fuel consumption and high wet grip performance, according to Toyo. Leveraging its proprietary T-mode tire design platform technology, an asymmetrical tread pattern has been developed to enhance braking, handling stability and overall ride comfort. According to Toyo, this design also ensures quiet operation, aligning with the tire labeling system standards for low exterior noise tires.
Nano Balance Technology was utilized during material development. This is a foundational material design approach to create fuel-efficient compounds. These compounds incorporate a silica dispersant to effectively reduce rolling resistance, enhance wet grip and wear resistance and optimize overall tire performance. Toyo notes that some of the silica dispersants are derived from environmentally friendly and sustainable materials, aligning with the commitment to eco-friendly practices.
