Falken is to launch a new energy-efficient tire for electric and hybrid vehicles at the Geneva International Motor Show on March 7, 2017.
The new Ecorun tire, which has achieved an A, A rating on the EU label, was developed using SRI’s Advanced 4D Nano Design technology, which won Tire Technology of the Year at the 2017 Tire Technology International Awards for Innovation and Excellence.
“Our debut at Geneva marks another milestone in our challenging approach to the automotive tire industry. Through innovation in communication and technology, Falken quickly became a trusted brand, which is consistently growing and taking on challenges for future mobility, for example the development of a tire especially designed to meet the needs of electric and hybrid driving,” said Stephan Cimbal, head of marketing at Falken Tyre Europe.
