Manufacturer Bridgestone has developed bespoke Turanza Eco tires for the Škoda Enyaq iV with Enliten technology to reduce tire rolling resistance by up to 30% and weight by up to 20%, enabling the Enyaq iV to travel 529km on a single charge.
The tires for the Škoda Enyaq iV were developed using Bridgestone’s Virtual Tyre Development technology, which helps to reduce the number of prototype tires made and the amount of real-world testing which is required.
By utilizing Virtual Tyre Development, Bridgestone estimates that raw material consumption and CO2 emissions created during the tire development phase can be reduced by up to 60% and time to market sped up by 50%, which helps make Bridgestone’s tire development and production more sustainable and efficient.
The bespoke Turanza Eco tires will be available for the Enyaq iV in diameters ranging from 18in to 21in.
