Pirelli has added the new Cinturato Gravel S (Soft Terrain) to its range of gravel bicycle tires, aimed at applications that tackle soft and challenging terrains.
The tubeless Cinturato Gravel S has been produced using SpeedGRIP, a Pirelli compound that delivers low rolling resistance and a high level of grip in wet and dry conditions.
For the tread pattern, Pirelli engineers studied the company’s Scorpion S mountain bike tire, which resulted in the Cinturato Gravel S benefitting from tread blocks that have been redesigned and modified for use on gravel trails without reducing the grip levels when used on the road.
Pirelli’s S variant has more reinforcement than other Cinturato Gravel tires. It features a 60 TPI nylon and an additional protective belt called TechWALL Gravel, which runs from bead to bead.
The Cinturato Gravel S is currently available in sizes 40-622 and 45-622 in both black and Classic versions with para sidewalls. A Classic version in sizes 50-622 and 50-584 will become available in the next few months.
